ASPiRE expands coverage of HBCU football

ASPiRE announced that when its coverage of Historically Black College & University (HBCU) sports begins on Sept. 6, it will be expanding to broadcast a total of 11 live and encore HBCU football games. ASPiRE’s coverage of the HBCU football games will air Saturdays, Sept. 6-Nov. 15, and consist of six live games, with three intra-collegiate matchups that are exclusive to the network. The live HBCU football games on ASPiRE will include the Inaugural Classic (Alabama State vs. Tennessee State), the annual Tuskegee-Morehouse Classic, and the annual CIAA Championship Game. 2014 Copa Centroamericana TV schedule

The biennial Copa Centroamericana (Central American Nations Cup) started Sept. 3, and continues through Sept. 13. The tournament, organized by UNCAF (Unión Centroamericana de Fútbol / Central American Football Union) is the region’s premier championship for national teams, and a qualifying competition for the CONCACAF Gold Cup. This year’s winner will also qualify for the 2016 Centennial Copa America. The 2014 Copa Centroamericana marks the first time in its 23-year history that the tourney has been played entirely in the United States.
