• Update: Leland Chapman launches new fan forum
Following the reappearance of his big brother Duane Lee Chapman in the series’ Jan. 18 episode, it looks like Leland — the long-running A&E series’ resident heartthrob — is the latest to go AWOL. And this time it looks like it could be for good.
“You can’t trust anyone these days friends family everyone has there own agenda” Leland tweeted yesterday, followed immediately by the confirmation of his fans’ worst fears — “Yes I no longer work on the show.”
The 35-year-old father of three then got busy promoting his new Facebook page and impending official website, and hinting at the enterprise which ostensibly drew him away from the show that made him a star.
“So you wanna be a bounty hunter? Leland b chapman bounty hunter training academy coming to a city near you check my website for details” he tweeted this afternoon.
According to the counter on the website’s sole page, the site is still a month away from its official debut, leaving Leland-philes the remaining episodes of Dog The Bounty Hunter‘s ninth season and his frequent social-media messages to tide them over.
New episodes of Dog The Bounty Hunter air Wednesday nights on A&E.
