RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 5, episode 12 recap

We’re almost at the finish line for this season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Unfortunately, Ru is milking the end of this season for all it’s worth.

Yes, the contestants did have to shoot a courtroom scene, shoot the music video for The Beginning, meet with Gloria Allred to come up with their argument why each of them should win Drag Race AND have lunch with RuPaul. Ok, when I write it out like that it sounds like a lot. But when watching it, it seems like a really light episode. Especially since we now know that we get essentially an Untucked/clip show next week. AND THEN we’ve got to wait ANOTHER week before we find out who actually wins this dang thing. I love me some Drag Race, but come on.

In lieu of a mini-challenge, the contestants get to learn the music video choreography with Candis Cayne. Her choreography also involves hairography and chiffonography. It’s very complex.

Then it’s on to the music video shoot with Mathu Andersen who comes off as the director with the world’s driest sense of humor. I love watching him – his lips seem to barely move when he talks.

And I’m going to make a prediction — the way this episode is being edited, it looks like Alaska is doing really poorly. Which to me indicated that he MIGHT be the one to win this thing. Raja also got the edit to look like she was really awkward in the video shoot & she done won it all. Of course that could be all part of Ru’s evil plan.

In the end, how this episode is edited may not matter because YOU are being asked to vote! Visit any one of the RuPaul online outlets – RuPaul’s Facebook page, Twitter page or really any other spot where you get your RuPaul fix and let Ru know who YOU want to win this season of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Oh, and you can also vote for Miss Congeniality. So do that too. I haven’t made up my mind on that one yet.

Full disclosure, I totally voted for Jinkx to win it all. I admit my bias.

Who are you voting for to win? Still need to decide? Then hear the contestants themselves make their argument on Michelle Visage’s Elimination lunch today. Go & vote and then let us know in the comments below!
