But who knows after last week’s bloodbath of major characters that saw long-time Joe devotee Emma Hill (Valorie Curry) being disappointing outwitted but ceremoniously killed (that girl didn’t die easily) by the now annoying Claire Matthews (Natalie Zea). She should have never listened to Joe! We also had the delightfully twisted psychopath Lily Gray (Connie Nielsen) — another favorite villain — who met her demise by the vengeance-hungry Mike Weston (Shawn Ashmore). Pray people, pray, Mike’s OK.
In addition to finding out about Mike’s fate, tonight is all Lily’s crazed sons Mark and Luke (both played fabulously by Sam Underwood) who hold the upper hand with Claire under their keeping. “Sam Underwood makes a big impression and he causes as much havoc this entire season,” Williamson told us at the start of the season, and he wasn’t exaggerating. Summing up the finale episode, Purefoy told The Hollywood Reporter that “this finale is all the bells and whistles, and it flip-flops every 30 seconds.” So prepare for a wild ride!
