If last night’s My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding episode featuring the union of 16-year-old Nukkie Stanley and 18-year-old Pookie Small stirred up your hankering for a new season Gypsy Sisters, happy news.
The wild and wooly reality outing featuring Nukkie’s mom Nettie Stanley, her loose cannon aunt Mellie Stanley and other members of the vast Stanley clan will return for a new season at the end of the summer.
Fans of the Stanleys will recall the Stanley Sisters special in which enraged mama Nettie, pregnant Mellie and other female members of the family headed off in a camper to reclaim the then 14-year-old Nukkie who was living with Pookie and his mom, Dovie dad and aspiring-pop-star sister Jackie Dee (who went on to become a Gypsy Wedding favorite in her own right).
With Nukkie now 16 — a perfectly marriageable age in the gypsy community — the Smalls and the Stanleys buried the hatchet and had themselves a wedding in last night’s Gypsy Wedding episode. Nettie and Dovie hugged. Mellie and Jackie danced. Nukkie and Pookie married without incident.
And as a wedding gift for the fans, TLC released a Facebook video featuring Nettie, new mom Mellie, Kayla, Annie announcing the new season which is set to return the end of the summer.
