Andi Dorfman picks season 10 winner of Bachelorette 2014

The season 10 winner of The Bachlorette 2014 was Josh Murray. Bachelorette Andi Dorfman officially accepted the marriage proposal from the former pro baseball player in the final episode of the series. The 29-year-old Josh, a native of Tampa who now resides in Atlanta, was sweating it out when his dream girl took some time in getting to the “I love yous.”

Andi, the 27-year-old Atlanta attorney, looked stunning in a halter-style off-white gown as she listened to Josh gush about her. “You are the answers to all of my prayers. … You are the women I never thought existed in the world. … That smile makes me think we can do anything in the world. … When I look into your eyes I see so much beauty, passion … I want to share the rest of my life with.”

When it came time for Andi to reciprocate the feelings, she took her pretty time. Josh was visibly scared, but who wouldn’t be with comments like “I started this journey to find love. …It’s been a struggle for me and a challenge. … The truth is that, from the first time I met you, I was scared. … When you said ‘the next person I said I love you to would be your wife,’ that was something I take seriously. … It has taken a lot of thought for me to get there.”

Get where???? But finally she came around and confessed that she knows what that feeling is and that “feeling is love.” Finally! “Josh I loved you since the moment I set eyes on you. I know I love you. I’m madly in love with you.”

Andi originally described and tried to dismiss Josh as being “totally my type,” as he was the typical type of guy she would be attracted to and who she would have dated in the past. Although she claimed that she originally came on the show to branch out and try to find a different type of guy, [and quite convincingly had us fooled with runner up Nick Viall], she had a hard time trying to fight her feelings for him. Josh proved to be different enough and was NOT “too good to be true.” [That was one of the annoying fears she always had and kept us guessing.]

Prior to making his proposal to Andi, Josh met with her parents. “I’m totally in love with her,” Josh told Andi’s father Hy. “It’s the forever kind of love feel.”

Hy’s first impression of Josh was humorous, “He’s sweating, he’s so nervous, this poor guy doesn’t stand a chance,” Hy said. But later confessed that he could definitely see Josh being his son in law.

Andi left runner-up Nick Viall (pictured left), the Waukesha, Wisconsin, native completely devastated. Although Nick received Andi’s first impression rose and never-seemed to stop impressing her after that, this one was just not meant to be. “With Nick V. it was just like that immediate connection and attraction,” Andi said in the beginning of the show. “There was something sincere and modest about him and, I don’t know, he just stood out to me.”
While Andi described her relationship with Nick as being “passionate,” she stopped him prior to picking out a ring on the last day of filming, when she surprised him at his cabin. She told him that she woke up this morning and things didn’t feel right.

Host Chris Harrison told viewers that Nick is still not over Andi and is completely heartbroken. “In fact, he tried to see her when she was vacationing in Mexico, she refused to speak with to him. He attempted to confront her during the men tell all taping, but she refused him again,” Harrison said.
