ABC’s “The Great Christmas Light Fight”

Tonight on ABC, families who deck their halls on an epic scale compete for bragging rights — and cool cash as The Great Christmas Light Fight returns for Season 2. In each of tonight’s back-to-back episodes, four families from around the country showcase their elaborate light displays in the hopes of winning $50,000. Celebrity designers Michael Moloney & Sabrina Soto (both from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition) judge the amazing displays that feature thousands of choreographed lights, dozens of inflatables and plastic sculptures and living nativities.

Michael Moloney and Sabrina Soto are handing our cold, hard cash for the hottest holiday displays.

Tonight’s first episode (airing at 8pm, ET) features four families from across the country showcasing their spectacular displays of Christmas magic. Check out the Weaver family’s 58’ castle with hand-painted Disney cutouts; the Barnard family’s live animal Nativity with 2 million lights sprawling across 8 acres; the Bagwell family’s impeccably synchronized musical masterpiece; and the Belcher family’s “talking house” that you have to see (and hear!) to believe. Who will judge Sabrina Soto award $50,000 and the coveted Christmas Light trophy?

In tonight’s second episode (airing at 9pm ET), a rooftop searchlight that required FAA approval helps attract spectators to the Daigle family’s display, where visitors are asked to donate toys to needy children. Also, the Loyas family explains the magnificent creation that they’ve built as a thank-you to the community that’s given them so much since their humble beginnings. Later, The Great Christmas Light Fight welcomes Tyler Horrocks and Joe Conway, the competition’s youngest contestants ever, who have combined their resources to create a DIY extravaganza. Finally, the Apruzzi family honors their history and their monster truck with a dazzling display of wire frames. Judge Michael Mooney is charged with the difficult task of choosing only one display to win a $50,000 prize and the coveted Christmas Light trophy.

Next week, ABC will premiere two more episodes filled with unique, jaw-dropping displays of festive fun.
