My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Season 5Your long wait for original episodes if over, pony fans! Dust off your Rainbow Dash gear, because it’s Ponytime! Season 5 of the wildly popular cartoon series, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic premieres April 4 with two back-to-back episodes.

In the Season 5 premiere of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, the Mane 6: Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rarity and Applejack travel to a seemingly utopian village where every pony has given up their cutie marks. The town’s leader, Starlight Glimmer, assures the Mane 6 that the ponies in this village are happy in their lives where sameness is celebrated, but it soon becomes clear that something sinister lurks within the village.

It’s a plot that feels vaguely Vonnegut-ian but with an uplifting and kid-friendly MLP ending.

The Cutie Map Part 1 premieres Saturday, April 4 at 11/10c The Mane 6, are summoned buy a magical map to a seemingly utopian village where everyone has given up their Cutie Marks.

The Cutie Map Part 2 premieres Saturday, April 4 at 11:30/10:30c The Mane 6 have had their Cutie Marks taken and must find a way to get them back. When a deep dark secret is revealed about the pony who took them, they think they may have the answer.

After the season premiere of My Little Pony, Friendship is Magic, check out the Discovery Family Channel premiere of the 1986 animated film, My Little Pony: The Movie at 12pm ET/11am CT.

All is well for the ponies in Dream Valley until the evil witch Hydia releases her newest creation: purple goo called The Smooze which turns anyone it touches mean and grumpy. The keeper of the Rainbow locket — a child — is brought from the human world and she and her siblings try to stop the evil magic before Smooze covers the the entire world.

The film stars the voices of Danny DeVito, Madeline Kahn, Cloris Leachman, Rhea Perlman and Tony Randall.
