Did anyone else have an overwhelming urge to eat eggs this week, or was that just us? Thankfully RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 7 episode 10 is titled Dancing Queens, so I assume I will obtain no overwhelming food cravings after watching.
I’ll probably always want to ask: “Where’s your Christmas Spirit DONNN” but that’s to be expected.
Violet stands up for Fame when the girls return to the workroom. She thinks Fame got thrown under the bus and probably feels very attacked right now. So after Fame’s elimination she wrote notes to each of the girls. Keep spreading that positivity, Fame!
Ginger-minjism: The secret to success is being God’s favorite
We have a mini-challenge – the queens have to perform plastic surgery on themselves using clear plastic tape. It’s to film the opening of Ru’s new totally fake show – The Fake Housewives of RuPaul’s Drag Race. In 20 minutes they’ve to got to tape & make up their mug. It’s too bad Fame, the master of tape, didn’t get a chance to participate.
Violet ends up winning this week. Instead of winning a prize, she gets to pick her dance partner first & pair up the other girls for the dancing mainstage challenge. The mainstage look is half-man, half-queen drag, you know, for the hetero-normative dancing pairs.
After head-games with Ru, rehearsal is with Kym Johnson from Dancing With the Stars and Carson Kressley. I guess Kym danced with Carson on the show. All rehearsals seem like a nightmare. Pearl can’t dance. Katya needs more time. Whatever Trixie does, she’s not going to drop Ginger. She drops Ginger. Well, she doesn’t really drop Ginger. She held on to Ginger, she just fell over onto the hay bale behind her.
The Redemption of Violet continues when Katya admits she wasn’t sure about working with her. But Violet has won Katya over with her confidence.

Rachel Harris and Alyssa Milano are this week’s guest judges. Yay good judges! If you haven’t seen Alyssa hosting Project Runway All Stars, she does a good job. There’s no Heidi Klum Aryan cruelty, but that’s a rare quality.
The runway is fierce. When Trixie first comes out she seems to forget her right side is boy because she still gives a little lift with her hand. She’s also got a little bit too much makeup on his boy side. Violet is a Spanish prostitute and then – bam – Pablo. Or as Katya put it – Bam – it’s a man!
And then it’s time to watch Prancing with the Queens! Pearl and Kennedy do a great job – not surprising from Kennedy since she’s a great dancer. But Pearl is really likeable in this. Trixie and Ginger are good, but seem a little low energy. It could simply be because one of their dances is the robot. Granted, you have to be really precise, but the moves are simple. I also really like Katya and Violet. Violet’s a good voguer and Katya has those splits. This is going to be a hard elimination. No one really gets any negative feedback. We want to know how long these queens had to rehearse.
Ru announces that the girls will be judged in pairs. Huh? There’s only 6 of them left…. Pearl invents the word fla-say-dah. It’s a combination of laissez-faire, blase and lah-di- dah. You know, fla-say-dah. Ginger confesses that dancing in public is one of her big fears. Violet is called a work of art. Carson doesn’t think Kennedy had a lot of energy in her dance.
Hooorrayy!!!!! Katya and Violet are the winners of this challenge! They get a dress & a gift card for a custom-made suit and Katya swears like a sailor. Pearl & Kennedy are declared safe. Trixie and Ginger are up for elimination, lip syncing to Robin S’s Show Me Love. Now that’s great gay dance music! Volume 54.
I gotta say, seeing the queens in half drag is kinda weird when watching the lip sync. They’re both tearing it up, however. It’s a lovely palette cleanser from last week’s super-boring lip sync. Ginger is the victor and Trixie is told to sashay away yet again. She covers that mirror in lipstick. Have fun cleaning that up, Ginger.
