Jasmine has abs! Fame is skinny! These girls don’t pad! What happened to Jinkx’ face? Violet can cinch! Kennedy has curves! Ginger is a glamour toad! Jaidynn is fierce! The beards looked cool and the #1 beard was Little Richard. Huh? I mean, Little Richard was good, but best beard? Really? IJS.
Our first taste of unseen footage is the girls asking to see Trixie’s package. She was already naked, so it’s not like it was anything they haven’t seen.
There’s not really anything new in this clip show – it’s fun but nothing revolutionary. Come through psoriasis! We do learn the origin of “She done already had herses.” Apparently Ru heard it in Atlanta way back in the day when she was getting burgers after going out at night. One customer was going to grab another customer’s bag, and the worker behind the counter said the iconic phrase. Ok. Maybe it’s not iconic, but that’s where it came from.
We do get to hear from Bianca del Rio, but she doesn’t read everyone. There’s been a real lack of Katya in this episode. That’s disappointing. I know that this episode is basically an infomercial to get people excited for the finale, but it’s not really doing it for me.
In the end we go through the things that make each of the finalists special. Ginger is talented. Pearl is pretty. Violet is graceful. And then we get the video for Born Naked. It’s bad. I mean, it’s pretty much the same kind of a video as Sissy That Walk, but the song isn’t as strong. Plus there’s this cheesy bit with RuPaul in a bad wig & the 3 finalists come from behind a metallic curtain with various outfits from the past season. It’s disappointing, but not unexpected given the previous episode.
That’s all she wrote, kids. Did you watch the clip show? Did anything stand out for you, cause it obviously didn’t stand out for me. Who do you think is going to win next week on the finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race? Let’s have a conversation that’s more interesting than this episode!
