Hilarious ESPN His & Hers “Basketball” Parody

Ahead of the start of the NBA finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors, the hosts of ESPN’s His & Hers, Michael Smith and Jemele Hill, have created a hilarious parody video of Kurtis Blow’s 1984 hit, “Basketball.”

The hilarious video premiered on their Radio/TV show on June 1 and features a production as cheesily hilarious as the original. New and modern lyrics make the viral video the perfect lead-in to tonight’s Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

I caught the video when Smith and Hill appeared on the ESPN TV/Radio morning show, Mike & Mike. Both Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg have cameos in the spoof and it was exactly what I needed this morning. What do you think — is it as good or better than the original? Is it better than Lil Bow Wow’s version for the 2002 movie, Like Mike?
