BBC America’s ‘Frozen Planet II’ Explores Earths Frigid, Fragile Ecosystems

Frozen Planet II BBC America

In this follow-up to 2011’s Frozen Planet, Sir David Attenborough (who else?) takes viewers back to regions where snow, ice and cold temperatures are home to some of Earth’s most fascinating creatures. BBC America’s six-part series Frozen Planet II visits the planet’s poles, arid tundra, icy seas, snow-covered forests and mountain peaks to explore the lives of Siberian tigers, penguins, polar bears, snow monkeys and other hardy animals that can brave the extreme conditions. The series also looks at the measurable effects of climate change on these fragile ecosystems, and how our frozen planet is disappearing at an alarming rate.
