In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, Walt Disney Animation Studios teams up with Pan-African entertainment company Kugali for an original six-episode animated series set in a futuristic Lagos, Nigeria. The exciting coming-of-age story follows Tola (voice of Simisola Gbadamosi), a young girl from a wealthy island, and her best friend, Kole (Siji Soetan), a self-taught tech expert, as they discover the secrets and dangers hidden in their different worlds. Kugali filmmakers take viewers on a unique journey into a world bursting with unique visual elements and technological advancements inspired by the spirit of Lagos.

Spend the afternoon and early evening with the King of the Monsters as MOVIES! presents a lineup of five old-school films starring Godzilla and several of his friends and enemies. It begins with Godzilla, King of the Monsters! (1956), the Americanized, English-language version of the 1954 Japanese original, featuring added scenes starring Raymond Burr as a reporter on the scene in Tokyo during Godzilla’s first devastation of the city. That is followed by Son of Godzilla (1967), Destroy All Monsters (1968), Godzilla vs. Megalon (1973) and Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (1974).

The latest installment of this long-running event was held (and livestreamed) Feb. 4 and honored the best in science fiction, fantasy and horror from July 2022 through September 2023.
