Deadliest Catch Season 9 premiere nets 3.47 million viewers

Tuesday’s (April 16) premiere of Deadliest Catch Season 9 on Discovery Channel was the No. 1 Tuesday primetime program in cable for Persons and Men 25-54, the network says. According to Discovery, the Deadliest Catch Season 9 premiere beat all cable programs and multiple broadcast series on networks that included ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC. Discovery was also the No. 1 cable network in Prime among P/M25-54 and P/M18-49 delivery, and increased viewership by +28% vs. last season’s premiere. “MythBusters” returns May 1, celebrates 10th anniversary

When Discovery Channel’s popular series MythBusters returns with new episodes May 1 at 9pm ET/PT, the show will be celebrating 10 years on the network by revisiting the first myth that was ever tested 10 years ago: The team will attempt to find out if a rocket-propelled car can actually fly. Starz has released a first look (trailer below) at its new high-seas drama, Black Sails, an original pirate adventure series from executive producer Michael Bay expected to air on the network in 2014. Second soundtrack from ABC’s “Nashville” to be released May 7

Big Machine Records and ABC Studios have announced that a second soundtrack from ABC’s hit drama Nashville will be released May 7.
