Bravo declares September 15 “Top Chef Just Desserts Day”

To promote its new spinoff series Top Chef Just Desserts, Bravo is naming September 15 — the date of the series’ premiere — Top Chef Just Desserts Day. The national event will offer free desserts through various outlets across the country. Consumers will be able to sample free desserts at local participating bakeries and retailers, from Top Chef Just Desserts-branded trucks in certain cities, and through a special partnership with Opentable.com.

“Boardwalk Empire” costars help introduce TCM’s night of Prohibition biopics

From Turner Classic Movies: Before the debut of HBO’s Prohibition-era series Boardwalk Empire, Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will get viewers in the speakeasy mood with an evening of biopics about some of the time period’s most notorious gangsters and bootleggers. “The Walking Dead” trailer from AMC — scary good

AMC is getting us excited (and creeped out) with this trailer for its new series The Walking Dead, from producer/writer/director Frank Darabont and based on Robert Kirkman’s comic book about a zombie apocalypse. The series debuts, fittingly, on Halloween at 10pm as part of AMC’s Fearfest horror marathon. The premiere is 90 minutes; subsequent episodes will be an hour long.

Cox reunites with Aniston on “Cougar Town”

Last season, Lisa Kudrow made an appearance, and ABC has announced today that Jennifer Aniston will now guest-star on former Friends co-star Courteney Cox’s ABC series Cougar Town. Aniston appears in the Season 2 premiere, airing Sept. 22 at 9:30pm ET. No word yet on her character. This marks the first time the two actresses have worked together since Cox’s former FX series Dirt. Aniston can currently be seen in theaters in the film The Switch.
