General Hospital goes retro in 52nd anniversary episode

Long-running daytime drama General Hospital, recently nominated for 28 Daytime Emmys, will commemorate its 52nd anniversary in its April 1 episode — 52 years to the day that the series debuted in 1963. Note: Spoilers are contained later in this article. It’s a collision of past and present with the episode. Comedy Central today announced the next host for The Daily Show once Jon Stewart departs. The popular drama Call the Midwife debuts its fourth season in America on PBS tonight (the BBC has also commissioned a fifth season, which is expected to air in 2016). Continuing to be inspired by the memoirs of Jennifer Worth, Midwife finds its main characters — the nurses, midwives and nuns from Nonnatus House, and the poor community members whom they serve — entering the 1960s. This Friday, March 27, NASA astronaut Scott Kelly and crew will launch on their one year in space at the International Space Station (ISS). Science Channel, via NASA TV, will air live coverage of the launch, which is scheduled for 3:42pm ET from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan (launch is subject to change, of course, based on conditions). In American Crime Episode 3, a little progress on the case at hand developed, but we mainly learned further backstories among most of the characters. Family played an especially important role in the episode, as we got to meet Aubry’s stepfather, Carter’s sister and Alonzo’s brother-in-law. The episode opens with Alonzo (Benito Martinez), for all intents and purposes, alone in the house. Although Jenny (Gleendylis Inoa) is there, she ignores her father’s attempts to speak to her.
