As we approach the one-year anniversary of the horrific Boston Marathon bombing in 2013, National Geographic Channel (NGC) will air a two-hour “factual drama” that relives the hunt for those behind it. TCM remembers Mickey Rooney with 24-hour film marathon

Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will remember Mickey Rooney this Sunday, April 13, with a 24-hour marathon of his classic films beginning at 6am ET. Rooney passed away April 6 at the age of 93. The Voice Tour 2014 dates, cities announced

This summer, the latest concert tour based off NBC’s hit competition series The Voice will feature contestants from the show, including this season’s top finalists and favorite past stars. The 31-show The Voice Tour 2014 will launch June 21 in San Antonio, and will hit various cities across the country before ending Aug. 2 in Redmond, WA. Animal Planet has gotten some flak in recent years for its “mockumentaries” about mermaids, which have been presented in a realistic format, albeit with quick disclaimers at the end indicating that they were more speculative than anything. “Sharknado” studio The Asylum to produce zombie series “Z Nation” for Syfy

Is there room on television for two series set in a post-zombie apocalypse landscape? Syfy and production company The Asylum (Sharknado) believe so. Today the network announced that this fall it will be debuting Z Nation, a 13-episode action-horror series depicting “the epic struggle to save humanity after a zombie apocalypse.” The series will be produced by The Asylum, with Karl Schaefer (Eureka, The Dead Zone) serving as executive producer and showrunner.
