Velocity brings Eurosport coverage to the U.S.

It may be small consolation to those motorsports fans still smarting from the loss of SPEED Channel, but Velocity is doing its part to expand its racing coverage with the introduction of Eurosport on Velocity, a weekly programming block beginning Sept. 28. The block will air Saturdays from 1-3pm ET/PT, with encore presentations on Sunday morning. “Gossip Girl Acapulco” coming to UniMas

American television has borrowed from Spanish-language telenovelas (such as with the recent Devious Maids), so it shouldn’t be a surprise that the opposite would happen, as well. Such is the case with Gossip Girl Acapulco, an international adaptation of the long-running American hit Gossip Girl (which ended its run on The CW last year). Gossip Girl Acapulco started airing in Mexico in August, and will make its debut in the United States on the UniMas network Sept. 20. NBC announced today that its hit reality series America’s Got Talent will kick off open auditions for Season 9 beginning Oct. 26 in various cities, starting in Miami. AGT is currently about to finish Season 8, and will crown the winner of this season live Sept. 18 at 9pm ET.
