Watch two colorized episodes of the classic I Love Lucy TV series in a one-hour special on CBS Friday, May 20, at 8pm ET/PT. The October 1955 episodes “Lucy Visits Grauman’s” and “Lucy and John Wayne” are a two-part story about Lucy (Lucille Ball) taking screen legend John Wayne’s cement footprints as a souvenir from Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. The two episodes are presented as one continuous story for this special. Channing Dungey, Paul Lee’s successor as president of ABC Entertainment, unveiled the network’s 2016-2017 programming slate and lineup today at Lincoln Center’s David Geffen Hall, in New York City. Quantico’s Priyanka Chopra and Jake McLaughlin led an opening montage that featured the pair grilling the network’s current stars about where “it” begins. It being great entertainment. According to longtime Simpsons executive producer Al Jean, we almost saw a live appearance by Homer Simpson way back in 2007, as a promotion for The Simpsons Movie. But, “what we saw the time didn’t seem to have a smooth enough animation so we didn’t use it,” Jean told reporters on a conference call last week. “Now, it’s advanced to the point where we think we can do three minutes of the show.” Jean is referring to tonight’s episode of The Simpsons, called “Simprovised,” which will indeed have three minutes of live Homer antics.
