FXX airing The Simpsons music-themed marathon

It’s not up to its epic, 12-day marathon of the entire series that aired a few weeks back, but FXX’s latest stunt related to The Simpsons prizes quality over quantity, when it comes to episodes. A four-hour, eight-episode marathon devoted to standout music-themed episodes of the classic series will air Sept. 11 from 8pm-12am ET/PT on FXX. The 12-day marathon of every episode of The Simpsons ever made (plus The Simpsons Movie) has done well for FXX, and it still has five days to go as of this writing, continuing through Sept. 1.
