Mr. Robot season finale rescheduled in wake of Virginia shootings

Last night, the hit summer series Mr. Robot was supposed to air its first season finale on USA Network. However, the was pulled in light of the horrific shootings in Virginia, where former employee at WDBJ in Roanoke, Vester Lee Flanagan II, murdered reporter Alison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward while they were live on the air. According to USA, a scene in the Mr. Robot season finale, obviously shot well before yesterday’s events, happened to be similar enough in nature to the shootings that the network understandably thought it would be disrespectful to air it so soon after the tragedy. USA re-ran […]

Devious Maids Season 3 Finale: Kaboom!

Like all good things, everything must come to an end. This was an exciting Devious Maids Season 3 finale, especially after being gone for a year. While this is the season finale, the drama doesn’t stop here. On the last episode of Devious Maids, we saw Carmen stop at Sebastien’s house, telling him she didn’t want to be alone. I thought she was just going to him for support after seeing Evelyn’s reaction when Deion was taken away, but that’s obviously not why. She shows up with Sebastien while the girls are having their usual gossip session and lets them […]

Fear The Walking Dead: What you need to know about AMC’s “The Walking Dead” companion series

You know it’s been, er, eating at you, fans of The Walking Dead. Exactly what went down during those weeks between when a wounded Rick Grimes conked out in his hospital bed and when he came to, surrounded by the only living guy surrounded by some pretty gnarly-looking (and gnarly-tempered) undead? AMC’s new Dead companion series, Fear the Walking Dead — from the same folks who brought you the original — is ready to shed some light on that dark time. Only this time, the action heads west to L.A. “We wanted to explore that four- or five-week time frame where […]

Interview: Nathan Owens stays hopeful for his character’s relationship on “Devious Maids”

Even though us Devious Maids fans had to wait a year for our favorite show to return to Lifetime, it was well worth the wait. This third season of Devious Maids included many new faces to the cast, including Days of Our Lives veteran Nathan Owens. Owens’ character, Jesse Morgan, joins the maid services in Beverly Hills with the help of Marisol and her new business. Jesse might be the first male maid we’ve seen on the show but he has a very special reason why he wants to enter this particular field of work. Jesse explains that he was previously in the military […]

Scream episode 8 recap: The haunting

With all the craziness that went down on last week’s episode of Scream, everyone is trying to recuperate after the death of Will. Jake wakes up in the hospital to discover the news that his best friend is dead. I bet he’s feeling pretty crappy for the way he treated Will. Piper goes to the Sheriff with the video of the Mayor acting very suspicious. She lets him know that Nina and Tyler had the video and now that Will and Jake had it, they went through dealing with Ghostface as well. Turns out Brooke was the one who went […]

Devious Maids Season 3 Episode 12 Recap: Ernesto is a killer?!

While it’s clear that Evelyn and Adrian need to work on their parenting skills from last week’s episode of Devious Maids, they decide to jump right in by asking Deion if he’d allow them to adopt him. As the Powell family are sharing hugs with their new addition, Carmen pulls Adrian aside for a phone call. Remember that private investigator that Adrian hired to find Deion’s birth parents? Well he did his investigating and found Deion’s father who wants to speak with Adrian. Good job on ruining your new family, Adrian.   Now that Taylor and Katy are back, Rosie […]

Scream episode 7 recap: There will be blood

On this episode of Scream, we pick up right where we left off last week with Will and local reporter Piper being stuck with the murderer. Both aren’t dead- yet- but I have a feeling they will be soon now that they’re hostages. Kieran and Emma seem to be the school’s latest hottest couple, despite the fact that their parents are dating each other. After receiving a text from Will, Emma is worried that she can’t find him anywhere. When she asks Jake and Brooke if either of them have seen him, they too have no idea where he could […]

Sugar Babies preview: Lifetime movie shows the scandalous side of paying for college

There is no doubt that today’s college expenses continue to be on the rise. A college student today cannot simply pay off their student loans by working a part-time job like back in the day. What pushes many students away from college is the amount of years they’ll be paying off their loans after they graduate. Lifetime’s new movie Sugar Babies dives into the real world of college students registering on websites asking for “assistance” with their expenses. Sugar Babies (premiering Aug. 15 on Lifetime) stars Alyson Stoner, who is stepping away from her Disney image as the voice of […]
