For Syfy, this summer has been the Summer of Sharknado, with that particular original movie doing bang-up social media business, if not chewing up the ratings right away. After soliciting Twitter submissions for the subtitle to its announced sequel to the surprise pop-culture hit Sharknado, Syfy said yesterday that the title will be: Sharknado 2: The Second One (they say they waded through over 5,000 Twitter submissions before deciding on this one). Just as quickly as a real tornado can form and overtake its surroundings, so too did the social media storm that erupted around the Syfy Original Movie Sharknado last week.
