Posted by SH Critics and filmmakers don’t often get together to discuss a bad review. An incident that happened Wednesday at the Sundance Film Festival might explain why. It appears Jeff Dowd — the real-life basis for The Dude, immortalized by Jeff Bridges in The Big Lebowski — took exception to a negative opinion expressed by Variety critic John Anderson toward a movie produced by one of Dowd’s clients.
