Every so often a television show proves it can make an impact on viewers that goes beyond entertainment, and last night’s Glee episode hopefully struck a chord with its younger fans that will ultimately save hundreds of lives. “Glee” winter finale promo promises change

Glee has released a promo for its upcoming winter finale episode, airing Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 8pm ET, and in it, we are assured that, “Everything you know about Glee is about to change.”  I’ll say. In the promo we see a clip of a possible wedding for Rachel and Finn, along with Sue uttering the words, “I’m pregnant.” Hold on tight, Gleeks! Sounds like after this it might be a long wait until the series returns with its spring premiere on April 10.

Jennifer Hudson sang an emotional tribute to the late Whitney Houston at the 2012 Grammy Awards. With only the barest of accompaniment from a piano player, Hudson silenced the entire room in a stunning rendition of “I Will Always Love You,” one of Houston’s biggest hits.   The world was saddened to learn of Whitney Houston’s unexpected death on Saturday. Adele returned to the stage for the first time since undergoing throat surgery in fall, singing her runaway hit “Rolling in the Deep” at the 2012 Grammy Awards. The tremendously talented youngster commanded the stage without gimmicks or costumes, looking absolutely stunning in a custom black Giorgio Armani gown. Last week, Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld came under fire for comments he made to Metro about Adele’s weight. Anyone else remember the episode of the ’80s sitcom Silver Spoons that guest-starred Whitney Houston? The episode, “Head Over Heels,” was the Season 4 premiere, aired in September 1985 and featured Houston playing herself. Ricky (Ricky Schroeder) and Alfonso (Alfonso Ribeiro) successfully get stuffy Dexter (Franklyn Seales) to loosen up enough (and don some awesome Miami Vice-esque threads) to the point where he is able to not only ask Whitney out, but become her boyfriend. If you missed the premiere of NBC’s new musical drama Smash this past Monday, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to catch it late tonight when NBCUniversal pools its formidable resources to reair the pilot on several of its cable networks.
