FOX axes “Dollhouse”

After winning a surprise second season, Joss Whedon’s mind-trip drama Dollhouse has run out of lives. Media reports surfaced today that FOX is canceling the show after its 13-episode run is completed Jan. 22 — with the remaining episodes beginning to air Dec. 4. Production is still in progress on the final few episodes, however, which will give Whedon an opportunity to bring the show’s storyline to a close. Gen-Xers might be feeling a little older today as the classic children’s show Sesame Street begins its 40th season. “Jimmy Kimmel Live” to welcome stars of new “Twilight” movie

On Nov. 20, the day that The Twilight Saga: New Moon hits theaters, the film’s three stars will make their first interview appearance together on Jimmy Kimmel Live (12:05am ET/PT on ABC). Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will be on hand to talk about the second film in the hugely popular Twilight franchise.
