Exclusive Clip: Monica The Medium “Roommate Wanted” Episode 2

Now that medium, Monica Ten-Kate and her BFF Krista have arrived in sunny San Diego, they need a few new roomies, and a new social circle. In this exclusive clip from Monday’s Monica the Medium “Roommate Wanted”, Monica brings forth the beloved father of a fellow student. When I chatted with Monica about Season 2, she revealed one of the new adventures that she faces this week is attending a meetup for mediums. Monica spilled some behind-the scenes info about a new (and famous!) friend. Monica says, “The second episode actually is when we first meet James Van Praagh. A lot of people […]

Colt Cabana on his Ring of Honor return and going for gold at Global Wars

It’s been about five years since Colt Cabana worked for Ring of Honor. The relationship between the company and one of its most beloved stars has been strained, so fans were shocked when Cabana reemerged at ROH’s Supercard of Honor X events in Dallas. “They’ve been reaching out to me ever since they did a changing of the guard,” Cabana explained. “I turned them down a bunch of times because I wasn’t happy with the way it all went down in the past. I had been a part of the promotion for so long, but with the new management, that idea […]

Michael Weston Uncovers History’s Oddest Friendship In Houdini & Doyle

FOX’s newest mystery/adventure drama Houdini & Doyle is inspired by true events and one of history’s most unlikely friendships. The series follows real-life friends Harry Houdini (Michael Weston) and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (Stephen Mangan) in fantastical (and faux) adventures as they join forces with New Scotland Yard’s first female constable (Rebecca Liddiard) to investigate supernatural cases. The premise of the duo moonlighting as superstar sleuths requires some suspension of disbelief, but it has a mix of mirth, mysticism and murder we’d liken to an old-timey X-Files. “We’re not pretending that we’re telling the Arthur Conan Doyle/Harry Houdini story,” says […]

All The Way: Bryan Cranston on playing a purposeful LBJ as the “accidental” president’s achievements are jeopardized today

All the Way premieres Sunday, May 21 at 8/7CT on HBO. Forty-seven years after he left the White House, Lyndon Baines Johnson is having something of a renaissance. Most of us know “LBJ” as the droning, jowly Texan who became president when Lee Harvey Oswald trained his gun on John F. Kennedy and quashed America’s Camelot dreams. What you recall from there (if you recall a single thing) depends on your age, your race, your geography … maybe your family ties. But not a day goes by that you aren’t affected by Johnson’s policies, the social-minded core of which is ground zero […]

HBO’s 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Special Will Include Footage From Prince’s 2004 Induction

The 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony took place in Brooklyn on April 8, when Cheap Trick, Chicago, Deep Purple, N.W.A. and Steve Miller were welcomed into the esteemed hall. HBO will be airing a broadcast of that special on April 30. The ceremony included an opening tribute to David Bowie, who passed away earlier this year, with The Roots, David Byrne and Kimbra performing “Fame.” Glenn Frey of The Eagles, whom we also lost this year, was remembered in a poignant duet by Sheryl Crow and Grace Potter on “New Kid in Town.” The ceremony took place […]

For President Obama’s Last White House Correspondents Dinner, Let’s Look Back at His Epic Trump Takedown From 2011

The 2016 White House Correspondents dinner, taking place April 30 (you can catch live coverage, including arrivals, beginning at 6pm ET on C-SPAN) represents President Barack Obama’s eighth and final appearance at the dinner. During the course of the past eight years, a number of hilarious headliners have hosted the event, from Wanda Sykes and Conan O’Brien to Seth Meyers and Jimmy Kimmel, with Comedy Central’s Larry Wilmore hosting this year. But many of them have been overshadowed in entertainment value by the president himself, whose charisma and comic timing have made for some memorable moments at the dinner, and […]

Interview: Seth Green on the making of “Camp WWE”

Right from the TV-MA disclaimer, it’s apparent Camp WWE is unlike anything the sports entertainment juggernaut has ever broadcast. That’s exactly what Seth Green and the rest of the team of Stoopid Buddy Stoodios were going for when they initially pitched the project. Now Camp WWE will be available exclusively on WWE Network video-on-demand, right after the Payback live event on Sunday, May 1. “I think the idea for this was giving them an opportunity to do something they can’t typically do with the brand, especially in any of the live-action programming,” Green says. “So they wanted something that was going to be a […]

American Grit Season 1 Episode 3 Recap: Moving Camp

Team Noah continued its dominance this week on FOX’s American Grit. The crew in green avoided “The Circus” for the third time in a row by finishing first in the “Moving Camp” evolution. The military-inspired challenge required ingenuity and thinking on their feet. They had to break down every piece of the camp — including the base of the tent, which consisted of an intricate puzzle. From there, the participants prepare their crate before swimming across the frigid water with it. They follow that up by crafting a wheelbarrow to transport the crate and remaining materials to a new location. Putting […]
