Fascinating Sherpa documentary chronicles impact of 2014 Mount Everest tragedy

Two years ago, I interviewed a man who was planning to jump off of Mount Everest wearing a wingsuit for one of Discovery Channel’s live event specials. The Discovery crew was one of many groups that were at a base camp of Everest at the time, which has actually developed over the years into a little village of sorts during climbing season, hosting everyone from TV crews like this, to Hollywood filmmakers to, most often, adventurous Westerners who strive to scale the mountain and pay up to $75,000 to make the attempt. They all would be on hand for the […]

Recap: Blindspot Season 1, Episode 18 — Mustard on the beat, ho!

This week’s episode of Blindspot brought back a special guest star I thought we’d never see again. No, it wasn’t Lou Diamond Phillips (boo!). Instead, we got Ennis Esmer! Yes, he’s not exactly a household name, but his character name is one that’s etched in my memory. Remember Rich DotCom, Blindspotters? Well, he was back — and just as annoying as ever. However, this week our FBI friends needed to partner up with the villain from episode 9 in order to catch a bad guy. Could he possibly be more irritating than the last time he was on the show? Let’s get […]
