TV/Movie Classics: Olivia Newton-John in Vegas with “Summer Nights” show

Beloved “Grease” star Olivia Newton-John takes up residency at Las Vegas’ Flamingo with “Summer Nights” show. When Australian-born Olivia Newton-John first embarked on a career in entertainment, she never could have guessed that she’d become someone we’d grow up with, hold onto, and pass along to our children. Yet, her timeless portrayal of Sandy in Grease and her catalog of singable (and danceable) hits have made her a permanent fixture in pop culture. She’s acted and sang with the best, she’s won her battles against breast cancer, she’s reinvented herself, and, through it all, she’s done more than survive… she’s […]

Animal Planet’s Monster Week 2014 to include a Shannen Doherty horror film

Animal Planet has gotten some flak in recent years for its “mockumentaries” about mermaids, which have been presented in a realistic format, albeit with quick disclaimers at the end indicating that they were more speculative than anything. For the network’s Monster Week 2014, Animal Planet can’t really be criticized in that regard for its new production Blood Lake: Attack of the Killer Lampreys, which an Animal Planet release plainly indicates is a “horror film” (but they also do call it a “marquee two-hour special”). To further let you know that this program should not be taken as scientific fact, it […]

From Syfy: “In Z Nation, three years have passed since the zombie virus has gutted the country, and a team of everyday heroes must transport the only known […]

Interview: John “Trapper” Tice of “Mountain Monsters”

“I believe this season we’ll be more ourselves,” John “Trapper” Tice says about Season 2 of Mountain Monsters, which begins April 4 on Destination America. “The first shows of the first season, of course we were a little nervous about that. We’re just old country boys. … [In Season 2] we were way more comfortable, so that made the hunts go a lot better, and we got into it better.” The 14 episodes comprising Mountain Monsters Season 2 follow more adventures of the Appalachian Investigators of Mysterious Sightings (AIMS) in their quest to investigate, gain evidence of and possibly capture […]
