Resurrection: ABC drama examines what happens when “Just one more day” comes true

Resurrection premieres Sunday, March 9 on ABC. We’ve all said it when grieving the loss of a loved one: “Just one more day.” Just a day, a few more hours to … well, the rest is likely as unique as the person making the plea. But few of us have ever considered what we might do if that day actually arrived and our dead returned — not as zombies or specters or visions, but just as they were on the day they left us. For Lucille and Henry Langston (Frances Fisher and Kurtwood Smith), the retirement-age couple at the heart […]

I don’t have two left feet.”  These 12 contestants are all vying for the MirrorBall Trophy and the title of Season 18 champion. Oscars 2014 recap (March 2, 2014): Ellen DeGeneres brings light-hearted humor (and pizza!) to the 2014 Academy Awards that were dominated by Gravity, 12 Years a Slave and Dallas Buyers Club. It’s Hollywood’s biggest night, the night where dreams come true for a privileged, talented and beautiful few. An Oscar win is something that scarcely anyone will experience, but a night that everyone has dreamed of and practiced. Ellen DeGeneres returned to the Dolby Theater and Academy Award-hosting duties after a seven-year absence saying: “Things are so different now. Last time, for instance, when I was here, Cate Blanchett was […]

Rachel Maddow to host “Why We Did It,” new MSNBC special about Iraq War

Last year, MSNBC aired a successful documentary special about the Iraq War called Hubris: Selling the Iraq War, hosted by Rachel Maddow and based on the book by Michael Isikoff and David Corn. That program documented the false public case for the war. Now, MSNBC will be airing a new, related program called Why We Did It, which the network says will “show a whole new, never-before-told story of what was happening behind that public case.” Newly obtained documents from the U.S. and abroad, as well as interviews with key players involved in the planning process and invasion, will feature […]
