“AHS: Coven” gets back on track with “Go To Hell”

Recap of AHS: Coven Jan 22 episode: After a two episode AHS: Coven detour, tonight’s American Horror Story: Coven “Go To Hell” gets us back on the highway to the Seven Wonders. Between Stevie Nicks, trips to Disneyland and OTC Benadryl, I was thankful my DVR was working so I could watch the last two episodes again, and again. So many witchy women had left, I needed a program to keep score. [SPOILER ALERT – major plot point revealed, so don’t read on if you don’t want to know] But things do get back to normal in this episode, and […]

Interview: Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer of “Broad City”

Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer expand upon their popular web series with Comedy Central’s hilarious Broad City, premiering Jan. 22 at 10:30pm ET/PT. Broad City is very funny, and has, for me, a Seinfeldian feel to some of it. The series expands upon Glazer and Jacobson’s shorter Broad City web sketches and strings humorous concepts together in each episode to chronicle the fictionalized lives of the two young women in New York City. Like Seinfeld, the characters aren’t always necessarily doing likeable things — and, in fact, can be self-absorbed — but you still have fun visiting with them. Broad City hits the […]

Dance Moms Season 4 episode 4 recap: Party Poopers

Hi, honeys! I’m home! No idea what I missed in last week’s actual Dance Moms episode — but it looks like maybe a new opener and Payton landing herself on crutches are top of the heap? Looks like we were also the overall high-scoring group, but outside of that, things were no good. As in “It’s all fun and games until someone loses an eye” not good, according to Abby. Someone lost an eye?! Maybe I need to watch after all, because Abby doesn’t explain. Or you guys could tell me what happened in the comments section below. That would […]

Providing much of the drama in Season 2 of Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots is Jaclyn Betham, who plays Amanda Cryer in OWN’s top-rated drama that airs Tuesdays at 9pm ET. This season of The Haves and the Have Nots finds the once-fragile Amanda in full-out beast mode looking to extract revenge on all who have wronged her. “She’s coming out of her shell in more dark ways than others, for sure, she’s not as introverted,” Betham says of her character. “She does seek her revenge. I think people are going to be really shocked this season […]

Many members of the so-called “Cumber Collective,” “Cumberbitches” and “Cumberbabes” were out in force today, camped outside the Langham Hotel in Pasadena to await the arrival of actor Benedict Cumberbatch, who was on hand during PBS’ first day of the Television Critics Association (TCA) winter press tour.
