BBC America to simulcast Doctor Who 50th anniversary episode

The Doctor Who 50th anniversary just keeps getting bigger. On Nov. 23, BBC America will simulcast “The Day of the Doctor,” the 75-minute episode that commemorates a half-century of TARDIS joy, so that the whole world will get to join in on the fun at the same time. In the wake of her headline-grabbing, tongue-wagging, twerking performance at the 2013 VMAs at the end of August, Miley Cyrus has been on fire, including nabbing her first-ever No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the song “Wrecking Ball.” MTV is calling Miley’s recent run a “movement,” and will be chronicling it in a one-hour documentary called Miley: The Movement, premiering Oct. 2 at 10pm ET/PT.
