In “The Royal Flush,” Theresa experiences a spiritual first when she connects with a negative energy that calls her a whore. The reading started out as any normal reading where Theresa greeted Fran and Jamie, a mother and daughter who came for a private reading. While Theresa ran through her normal shtick on how she works and how she only channel souls that walk in God’s white light, she wasn’t really prepared for […]

Jo Frost talks ‘Family SOS with Jo Frost’ on TLC

As TV’s beloved Supernanny, Jo Frost spent seven seasons coming to the rescue of parents whose tots were creating havoc — but she says she did much of her best counseling when the cameras were off. So Frost pulled the plug on the long-running ABC hit and began contemplating a new show in which she could assist all kinds of clans, not just those in need of the “naughty step.” “I wanted to focus on a format that would allow my expertise to be shown on every level, and I wanted to be able to create a format that allows me […]

Rectify season finale: Date, time, TV channel, preview and more!

Rectify season finale Monday, May 20 Sundance Channel, 10pm ET It’s been a slow burn for the first six episodes of Rectify, the absorbing drama about Daniel Holden’s (Aden Young) attempt to re-enter society after spending 19 years on death row for the murder of his girlfriend. The show has become a media darling and was renewed quickly for a second season by Sundance. Good thing, because while tonight’s season finale, “Jacob’s Ladder,” delivers the same languid pace and pregnant pauses that have become the show’s signature, there sure isn’t much in the way of resolution. But then, we don’t […]

“Bates Motel” season finale preview clip: “Midnight”

It’s been a wild, unexpected ride through the psyche of a young Norman Bates in A&E’s Psycho prequel Bates Motel. While Freddie Highmore has proved a good choice to communicate the awkwardness and potential lethality in the future killer, Vera Farmiga has emerged as the show’s undeniable star. She’s a force of nature in every scene, careening ever-so-closely to Mommie Dearest camp yet still managing to make Norma’s emotions seem the action of a loving, if tragically misguided mother as opposed to the monster from the Hitchcock film. In this clip from the debut season’s finale, an episode titled “Midnight,” […]
