With the scare Lucious’ mother, Leah Walker, gave us last week on Empire, it’s good to see Lucious alive and preparing for the ASAs tomorrow. I’m not sure Lucious gave Cookie all the details about what happened that night with the cakes, but she thinks Lucious needs to work things out with his mother. On this week’s episode of Empire, Lucious makes it his mission to get back into his company and claim the throne as CEO of Empire. I cannot believe what I’m seeing. Thirsty is actually pulling a hair from little Lola’s head?! What is this skinny man up to? Ew. I do not like Anika playing the nice housekeeper and taking care of Rhonda. On last week’s episode of Empire, Lucious caught Camilla trying to hide her tracks after killing Mimi. He told her to take a sip of whatever it was that she gave Mimi and, surprisingly, she downed a bottle of prescription medication. I had my doubts about whether or not she actually took the pills but it looks like she did. Everyone is mourning the loss of Camilla during her service at Empire on this week’s episode of Empire. On last week’s episode of Empire, we saw Hakeem take the reins as the new CEO of Empire. While he’s still being controlled by his puppeteer, Camilla, it seems that Hakeem is willing to keep the business in the family. He’s allowed for Cookie to be the head of A&R, Andre to be the chief financial officer of Empire and president of Gutter Life Records, and for Jamal to focus on his music with Empire. With Lucious losing the Empire to Mimi and Hakeem going against his own father by siding with Camilla, there are high expectations for the Season 2 return of Empire. We last saw Rhonda as she was pushed down the stairs in her new home — the one that Lucious so willingly paid for.
