Lifetime Delivers New Series Based on Pregnancy of Little Women: LA Star, Terra Jole

Terra Jole and Joe Gnoffo’s high-risk pregnancy has been one of the main focuses of this season of Lifetime’s Little Women: LA. Now, the couple has decided to document the arrival of their first child in a new unscripted program, Little Women: Terra’s Little Family. The 10-episode series premieres April 8, at 9pm ET and will be shot in near real time as Terra approaches her due date later this month. Before the series’ premiere, Little Women: Terra’s Little Family Special will take a look back at Terra and Joe’s pregnancy journey so far on Little Women: LA. The series […]

Recap Little Women: LA “New Orleans, New Engagement” Season 2, Episode 11

I’m not really sure what New Orleans means, and if the internet didn’t exist, I’d just assume it translated to “Bad Idea.” We’re still making bad choices in the Crescent City and I’m still amazed that a “last minute” trip is so well planned. *Ahem, Magic of TV* This week it’s all about Briana, and it’s about time she gets some attention. Flash-back to last week’s episode, where Briana, Terra and Matt try to share details of their visit to visit to Zotan the psychic. Traci, Tonya, Christy and Erik are still convinced that psychics do the Devil’s work and flee when Briana tries […]

Dance Moms Season 5 episode 10 recap: Upsettin’ the Apple cart and robbin’ the cradle

First of all, Dance Moms nation, I’m sorry for botching the blog post six ways from Sunday last week. Bad case of the donna-mos, I guess. I’m back on track, I swear. We open with Gia at the front desk greeting dancers and mothers, including Ashlee and Brynn. Yay! Ashlee’s back! Ain’t that right, Jill?  Right. Everyone’s in shades of green as we gather for pyramid and Abby’s bangs are in fine form…because I know you’d want to know. Bottom of the bottom is Nia, because her dance was dumb and Abby’s knows it and that wasn’t Nia’s fault. Then […]

Recap Little Women: LA “Little Women, Big Easy” Season 2, Episode 10

After weeks of fighting, and a reminder of the complete Sh!t storm that erupted at Elena’s housewarming party, Christy says, “Just because Terra is pregnant doesn’t give her a hall pass to be a bully and a bitch.” Agreed. What this group needs a quiet time of introspection and reconciliation and a few weeks away from each other. Nope. Time to head to New Orleans! Christy has the idea to take the group to the city that is a bad decision in it’s self. New Orleans may or man not be translated from Creole to mean “Bad Decision.”   So […]

Born in the Wild recap, Episode 1: Mosquitoes and baby’s position prove to be challenging

Born in the Wild recap, Episode 1 (March 3, 21015): Lifetime’s new unscripted series Born in the Wild, which I liken more to extreme birthing, opens by reminding us that years ago women gave birth without doctors or drugs (if only they had the options, right!?!). Clearly, times have changed — thank you modern medicine — and now over 98 percent of babies in the U.S. are born in hospitals. This series, however, is not about those seeking traditional hospital birthing experiences, instead it’s the women who are looking to reverse the trend and give birth in the wild. Viewers […]

Dance Moms Season 5 episode 9 recap: A little less talk and a little more dancin’

Uh oh, Dance Moms nation. The counter is back. I suppose it was only a matter of time. And just for the record, I’d consider using Lifetime-sanctioned photos for these things if, you know, they actually offered some from each — or any — episode. Which they don’t. And what’s a story without pictures? So I make my own. So let’s all just ignore the counter. We do not see you, counter! Lalalala! As promised, we’re back in Pittsburgh. Holly says she sees L.A. as a success, even if Abby did try to sabotage Nia at every turn — Aubrey […]

Interview with Audrey Bird from Born in the Wild on Lifetime

You may not agree with the birthing option selected by Audrey Bird from Born in the Wild, the first woman profiled on Lifetime’s new series premiering tonight (Tuesday, March 3 at 10pm), but there’s no denying that this birthing story is can’t-turn-away television. When I first read the initial press release on the series I was like “Wait, what?” As a hospital-birthing mother of three, the idea of a woman wanting to give birth in the wild (with no doctor on call) had me completely miffed. Like, who in her right mind would risk this — her health and the […]

Dance Moms Season 5 Episode 8 recap: Out with a whimper

Another day, another million dramas, Dance Moms nation. We start out back on the set of the MattyB video, where Abby is still stewing about Melissa not recognizing that Mackenzie is just this side of Ariana Grande and refusing to sign her on in a second fiddle role. Abby says the papers that Melissa did sign say that Mack will appear, but keep her golden little pipes to herself. If she sings, she gets top billing. Even though MattyB’s people are paying for this thing, so, uh, there. Blake talks the sudden hitch in the giddy up with Melissa, who admits she just […]

Little Women: LA Episode 8 recap “Into The Woods” Features My Idea of Hell: Camping and Yelling

This episode may be titled “Into the Woods,” but I’d call it, “Camping is Terrible” or “The Sh!tstorm.” Lila is still around. And I love that someone has brought fresh drama to LA. Drama sucks to live through, but is very entertaining to watch. Terra and Joe decide to take everyone to Catalina Island, But psyche! Because Joe isn’t actually going, he booked a commercial and can’t go. This is the first time that everyone is getting together since Todd and Erik (and kinda Joe) got into a fight. You know what’s a good idea? Getting on a boat with your […]

Dance Moms Season 5 episode 7 recap: To Matty B or Not to Matty B

It’s our last week in L.A. Dance Moms nation and Abby says it’s gonna be a big one. More choreography than ever to contend with (which makes Melissa suck her teeth) and we’re down a major player. Our Maddie is guest starring – like, legit, acting —on Disney’s Austin and Ally and that, people, is a honkin’ deal. It also means we need a swing for the team; let’s meet our prospective swingers now! Oh hey, Sarah and Tracey. Back for more punishment, huh? How exciting! Right, Sarah?! Right. Kira’s equally excited. Both Sarah and Mystery Girl are from Kalani’s original studio […]
