PBS’ Math-centric Odd Squad Returns With New Additions

PBS’ math-tastic series Odd Squad returns this morning with new episodes and new characters. Monday’s episode will be an hour-long adventure that will introduce new recruits, Agent Olympia (Anna Cathcart) and Agent Otis (Isaac Kragten).  The series has also announced its first, full-length movie, which will premiere August 1 and feature hilarious guest appearances from Jack McBrayer (30 Rock) and Hannah Simone (New Girl). PBS announced new programming initiatives for 2016 at the TCA Winter Press Tour: PBS has entered into a strategic partnership with NPR to share news content between the two organizations as part of its PBS Election 2016 news, public affairs, documentary and digital programming surrounding the year’s politics. Mercy Street, a six-part drama series is set in Alexandria, Va., in 1862 and follows two volunteer nurses on opposing sides of the Civil War. New Englander Mary Phinney (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and Confederate supporter Emma Green (Hannah James) have an ideological clash at the Union Army’s Mansion House Hospital, formerly the Green family’s luxury hotel.
