RuPaul’s Drag Race: 21 1/2 Moments that made us gag

May 8, 2014 Ruth Boulet

Ok, so this has been up on the Logo TV App forever, but since they’ll be showing this with this week’s clip show, let’s talk about it – the 21 1/2 moments that made us gag from RuPaul’s Drag Race! (Actually, 21 1/2) The mini-challenge that became major – Lil Poundcake. “You’re not my real dad, and you never will be.” Snap out of it! Slapping. The math goes like this: slap from RuPaul > a slap from anyone else. Eat it! (or don’t) – mini-challenge of chicken or not. I had forgotten about this challenge, probably because there was […]

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6, Episode 12 recap: Sissy That Walk

May 5, 2014 Ruth Boulet

Tonight on RuPaul’s Drag Race we learn who makes it to the top 3. And so we are down to this – the music video for Sissy That Walk. But first Darienne has to clean. That. Mirror. BenDeLaCreme writes a book on the mirror. Observe: After cleaning, we get Courtney throwing some shade at Bianca Del Rio and Adore Delano. “Not today, Satan. Not today.” Thank you Bianca Del Rio. And we’re down to the last episode before the finale, which is traditionally the music video challenge. Michelle Visage, not RuPaul, tells the girls about the events they will need […]

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6, Episode 11 recap: Glitter Ball!

April 28, 2014 Ruth Boulet

It’s the fabulous 5 left on RuPaul’s Drag Race. The girls give a final ‘wha-wa’ and boob salute to Joslyn. Sweet, sweet Joslyn and her Ru-zy-Qs. I shall miss the Ru-zy-Qs. I will also miss her sometimes unexpected insights on Untucked. Girl knew what was going on, even if she couldn’t articulate it in the work room or on the runway. Darienne feels like she should’ve been above Courtney in last week’s challenge. BenDeLa is thinking that Bianca is getting too comfortable. The last time BenDeLa was comfortable, she ended up in the bottom 2. Now Bianca in the bottom […]

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6 episode 10 recap: Drag My Wedding

April 21, 2014 Ruth Boulet

It’s time for the makeover edition of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 6. Episode 10 is titled Drag My Wedding so we’ll be seeing some wedding realness. The question is – who will be the bride? But first we have to get through the opening snark of Adore being scared & everyone ripping on Courtney for winning. Darienne declares she’ll be leaving banana peels around for the other girls to slip on. It’s JUST THAT EASY to screw up now. The mini-challenge is creating a twerk of art in support of marriage equality. Body suits & paint galore! This is one […]

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6 Episode 9 Bonus Scene from the Queens of Talk

April 15, 2014 Ruth Boulet

RuPaul’s Drag Race has released a bonus scene from the Queens of Talk episode. We don’t get any extra footage of the interviews themselves, just a chance to see the introductions that the girls filmed for The RuPaul Show. Logo TV The clip features each drag queen dancing & lip synching the theme song. Some highlights of the clip include: Trinity didn’t get Chaz’ name right in the intro with cue cards either. BenDeLaCreme describes her guests as the top and bottom buns of the Cher family sandwich. She’s probably the most entertaining of the queens. Courtney can’t help herself […]

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6 Episode 9 Recap: the Queens of Talk

April 14, 2014 Ruth Boulet

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6 Episode 9 begins with the post-Laganja elimination kiki. We’re establishing that most girls think Joslyn is going home next, which means she probably isn’t. Other than that, there’s just some good-natured wholesome banter among the girls. The guest judges this week are Paula Abdul, Cher’s mom Georgia Holt and Cher’s son, Chaz Bono. The trifecta of close, but not-Cher. This week’s mini-challenge involves Mr. Scruff of the Scruff social network app and of the Scruff pit-crew. It’s basically Wheel of Fortune but with no Wheel, a lot of A-S-S and letters on the butts of […]

RuPaul’s Drag Race Extended Scene Drag Queens of Comedy

April 8, 2014 Ruth Boulet

Once again Logo and RuPaul’s Drag Race hears our prayers by giving us more from episode 8 with an extended scene Drag Queens of Comedy. As usual the show generally gives us the best of each contestant. A lot of what was cut out in last night’s show was the dirtier stuff from Darienne Lake that didn’t seem to go over well. We also missed even more digs at Michelle Visage and Santino Rice in Bianca Del Rio’s standup. Surprisingly it looks like we saw most of BenDeLaCreme’s and Laganja’s performance last night. So if you’re bad, we get to […]

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6 episode 8: Comedy challenge recap

April 7, 2014 Ruth Boulet

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6 episode 8 begins with the queens still reeling from the non-elimination from 2 minutes ago. Joslyn has become disillusioned with Courtney Act because of how mean an condescending she’s being. BenDeLaCreme is relieved to still be around and other queens are happy she’s there. Some of their comments may be seen as being shady to Darienne, but it seems to not be so much about that. Darienne appears to be taking it that way, though. Bianca’s annoyed by the clucking Laganja who hasn’t funneled her high energy into much productive lately. Thankfully the mini-challenge comes […]

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6 episode 7 – selling Glamazon recap

April 7, 2014 Ruth Boulet

We’re down to 8 queens of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6 episode 7. Let’s see, that’s an even number… Hmmm. How about working in pairs? How about RuPaul putting together the pairings so that the two queens that can’t stand each other the most are put together? Let’s do it! RuPaul is creating the Glamazon makeup line with ColorEvolution. The queens have to create a 30 second spot to market the makeup line. The pairs are, of course: Adore and Laganja targeting mean girls Courtney Act and Joslyn Fox targeting hot mamas Bianca and Trinity targeting glamorous working girls Darienne […]

RuPaul’s Drag Race Extended Reads [Video]

April 2, 2014 Ruth Boulet

The library is open, hunties! RuPaul’s Drag Race heard my plea and has posted extended video of the reads from Episode 6. Hooray! You won’t get ALL the reads, but you’ll get a lot more than were shown in the episode. I’m forever grateful for this added content, because it is now CLEAR why Darienne Lake won this mini-challenge. It also makes me realize another reason why Milk probably got voted off in this episode. Girl, don’t copy another queen’s read! The shade of it all! Watch the RuPaul’s Drag Race extended reads video below: Get More: RuPaul’s Drag Race […]
