If you’re a fan of the show, you’ve probably heard about how the models of America’s Next Top Model displayed some non-model-like behavior in their swank apartment. Hopefully we’ll get to see a little of that destruction over the course of the season.
This episode starts with delusional Dominique ragging on the other girls. Lauren talks about needing confidence. Fatima is annoyed by Amis.
Tyra Mail! I have no idea what is said again because I just hear squealing when they’re all talking. The models end up at a fire station. Miss Jay is there and tells the girls that part of being a model is quick changes. I bet the firefighters love this. They have 90 seconds to get into their outfits. Some girl talks about being conservative & being all embarrassed about getting naked. Fatima gets dressed down for not putting on her costume shoes. Stacy-Ann is excited that they have to walk for the firefighters. The firefighters are in full gear, which may not be just for the camera, since I assume they’re still working.
Dominique gets dressed down for going too hootchie. Lauren gets told to use the great body she has. Amis skipped down the runway. Skipped. Miss Jay doesn’t know what to do with her.
Aimee insists on having the shower all to herself because she’s not comfortable being naked in front of anyone. Other people walk in because they have to pee. Aimee wigs out & we have a spat/misunderstanding. Calm down, girls.
Tyra mail! The girls have to keep their story straight or they will be out of order. They are going to be in a Tula fashion show. Miss Jay is meeting them an awful lot this season. Where’s Mister Jay? The models are introduced to a bunch of people, one of whom is the editor of Seventeen. The other is Jaslene. The winner of the challenge will do a photo with Jaslene for Seventeen. The catch here is that the girls have to do everything right or they won’t be able to walk in the show. Amis makes some comment about a Jaslene sandwich. Ah, ha. Miss Jay starts the show.
Whitney pops out of her top. Lauren didn’t pose, but practically ran up & down the runway. Fatima missed a button so her top was completely off-kilter. Apparently they only had one outfit to get into, which is too bad for some people. Jaslene comments that Lauren didn’t look like she wanted to be there. Apparently that hurt Lauren’s feelings. Katarzyna wins. She gets to pick two friends to be in the photo shoot. She picks Amis and Marvita. We get about 10 seconds of their photo shoots.
Lauren’s dwelling on what Jaslene said & that she doesn’t fit into the house. Hm. She’s getting a lot of screen time. That would be a shame if they offed her this early. She just needs coaching. Ok, a lot of it, but she’s got a good attitude.
Their next photo shoot is in a meatpacking plant. Mr. Jay — hooray — enters in a completely white outfit. He tells the girls that they have to wear meat for their photo shoot. We’ll see how ‘I can’t show with others in the room’ girl does. They actually made pieces for them to wear out of meat. They do have other clothes on, so they’re not entirely naked. Fatima gets a meat hook stuck in one of her meat pieces. One girl wants to sit on a vat of marrow. That even grosses Mr. Jay out.
Whitney is grossed out by wearing the meat. Marvita grabs a bone and gets angry. Lauren tried to be a little Leatherfacey. Dominique does sit on the bucket of marrow. She asks for a hug from Mr. Jay. He gives a hell no back. Aimee is disconnected. Amis doesn’t know what to do and shoves a beef carcass across the room.
Everyone’s getting ready to go to panel and Amis is still sleeping. She claims that it takes two seconds to get dressed. She looks like a mess when she’s heading out the door. She doesn’t look quite as bad at first in panel.
Stacy-Ann gets called modeling 101. Tyra likes that she got to see Whitney’s booty. Tyra gives Fatima growling advice. Paulina asks her if anyone told her to change her face. She can’t remember. Nigel thinks Dominique looks like she’s a meat packing calendar girl. Lauren gets ripped for her runway, but she takes a great picture. Amis admits that she gets goofy and makes dumb choices when she gets nervous. That might save her. We’ll find out after the judges rip them behind their backs.
This is Claire’s cycle of domination for fan favorite.
Katarzyna is a pole dancer. Fatima is a Pekinese. Paulina thinks Lauren has been here long enough to extend her neck. These are the highlights from judging panel. Girls get called up until we’re left with Fatima and Amis. Amis is questioned about her desire. Fatima is told that she modeled from the waist down this week. Amis ends up getting the cut. She seems happy to be going. See ya, weird girl. She totally would’ve talked to Cousin It if given a chance.
