1. What has been your strangest fan encounter?
Ludacris: I don’t know that it could be considered “strange,” but I’m always amazed when fans come up to me, the project they seem to know me from — whether it’s my music or my films or even the two episodes of Law & Order: SVU.
2. You’re at a magazine rack and can pick three magazines. What are they?
I only get three? That’s not fair. I like learning about a lot of different things, so I don’t know which three I’d pick up. Depends upon my mood.
3. Do you have a favorite sports team?
I’m an Atlanta home-team man!
4. When was the last time you were starstruck?
I don’t really get starstruck, but I have the chance to meet some amazing actors and had a few really great moments. Like meeting Shirley MacLaine backstage at the Palm Springs [International] Film Festival, and we had a chat about comedic timing. Or meeting Cate Blanchett at the SAG Awards. She was standing right behind me, getting ready to go through photos and she was absolutely stunning and very gracious. Also, chatting backstage with Morgan Freeman at an awards show for about 15 minutes was pretty awesome.
5. If your TV only carried three shows, which three would you want?
If there were only three shows, then I’m sure that my daughter would get to pick the shows. She does rule the house like that! And as long as I have my portable DVD player off to the side, I’m all good!
6. When is the last time you felt like crying?
Whenever my daughter is upset. I’m a regular dad and, like all of the other parents, you can’t stand to see your child upset or hurt.
7. What is your favorite condiment?
Ketchup!
8. The title of your new show is reminiscent of the John Travolta movie “Battlefield Earth” — which really sucked. Can you promise that your show will be better?
There was a movie called Battlefield Earth? Really? Our show is Battleground Earth, and I can promise you that you’ve never seen anything like it!
Ludacris goes head-to-head with Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee to see which musician can lead a more eco-friendly lifestyle when Battleground Earth: Ludacris vs. Tommy Lee premieres Aug. 3 on Planet Green.
