On Saturday, Oct. 18 (or, in layman’s terms, tomorrow) Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling premieres on CMT at 8pm ET/PT. On the show, Hulk Hogan tries to turn 10 celebrities — Danny Bonaduce, Todd Bridges, ButterBean, Trishelle Cannatella, Dustin Diamond, Erin Murphy, Dennis Rodman, Frank Stallone, Tiffany, and Nikki Ziering — into pro wrestlers, with the help of his fellow judges Eric Bischoff and Jimmy Hart and coaches Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake and Brian “Nasty Boy” Knobs. As both fantasy sports geeks and ’80s wrestling fans, Mike and johnnysweeptheleg have decided to hold a HHCCW fantasy draft, in which they each select five wrestlers, with the winner being the player who drafts the last wrestler standing at season’s end. Each week, we’ll track the performance of fantasy tag teams and offer a recap of that week’s episode, as well as — in true wrestling fashion — feature smack talk from each team owner. But for now, here’s the way things played out on draft day.
