“Breaking Bad” Fans: AMC Wants You To Get Down(loads) With Your “Bad” Selves

Breaking Bad addicts, are you counting the minutes until the second season of the best show on TV premieres March 8 (if you’re not, I’ve got my hands on the first three episodes and, honeys, you should be)?

Happy news — thanks to Sony Pictures Television and AMC, fans of the Emmy® Award-winning series are now just a few clicks away from some fun little fixes.

Start at amctv.com to catch five original mini episodes penned by Vince Gilligan, Kate Powers, and Gennifer Hutchinson, and directed by John Shiban. The “minisodes” feature the series’ regular cast members in storylines that include a flashback to Bryan Cranston’s Walt talking Hank (Dean Norris) down from his pre-wedding jitters; Walt discovering that Skyler (Anna Gunn) sold the vacuum cleaner which houses his extra-curricular earnings; and backstage access to a music video shoot  with Jesse (Aaron Paul) and his tragically-named band “Twaughthammer.”

You can also catch the minis at Crackle.com (www.crackle.com/breakingbad).

Then log on to www.waltswarning.com to heed “Walt’s Warning,” a personalized viral experience created by the marketing team at Sony Pictures Television as a follow-up to Bad’s successful Season One viral video effort. The cutting edge video features Cranston as Walt interacting directly with visitors, who are dragged back to the infamous Winnebago and can choose what happens next from four different outcomes.  Want to give your friends a dose of Breaking Bad? “Walt’s Warning” also allows you to customize the experience for your pals by personalizing the video and sending it to your Facebook friends via Facebook Connect.

You can also heed “Walt’s Warning” at amctv.com and Crackle.com.

And if you’re new to the Breaking Bad experience (and there are waaaaay too many of you who are), beginning March 5, you can sample what you’ve been missing with 5-minute condensations of Season One episodes on Sony Picture Television’s The Minisode Network, the premiere multiplatform network for the genre.

You can also catch the tasty, bite-sized episodes on The Minisode Network on Crackle, YouTube (www.youtube.com/minisodenetwork), MySpace (www.myspace.com/minisodenetwork), AOL Video, Hulu, Adobe Media Player, Sling, TV.com, Veoh, and on mobile at Verizon Wireless’ V CAST Video service and Sprint TV.

But when Sunday, March 8 finally rolls around, promise me you’ll take my advice and catch the Cranston-directed Season 2 premiere of Breaking Bad the way it should be — on your TV, in the dark, with your black fedora pulled down low.
