ABC Family’s popular series Greek will have four books based on the show published by Harlequin (under the Harlequin TEEN brand), the network announced today.
“The new Greek Harlequin TEEN titles are a perfect fit with our audience,” says Naz Haider, vice president of business management for ABC Family. “The books will reflect at their core the mix of romance, rivalry, humor and heart that Greek fans have come to love about the series.”
The first entry of the book series, Double Date, will be written by Marsha Warner and published in May 2010. In Double Date, ZBZ sorority sister Casey Cartwright accidentally books herself for two dates on the same night. She has promised her younger brother’s best friend Dale that she’ll attend the honors engineering award night with him, only to find out it conflicts with the all-Greek formal that Casey has been counting on attending with a hot new guy.
Follow-up books will include Best Frenemies, also by Warner, in August 2010; an as-yet-untitled book by Micol Ostow in November 2010; and a fourth book, due in early 2011, with title and author to be determined.
