Are you ready to “Cookalong Live” with Gordon Ramsay?

It’s coming up — your opportunity to cook alongside one of today’s loudest celebrity chefs, Gordon Ramsay — and since you have to know in advance what you need to make the mouthwatering meal, we’re going to tell you about it right now.

But first, we probably should explain for those of you who don’t know what this is about. Based on the hit British show, Gordon Ramsay: Cookalong Live will air on FOX Dec. 15 at 9pm ET and will feature television’s most assertive chef — along with celebrity guests Cedric the Entertainer, Alyson Hannigan and LeAnn Rimes — taking you through the steps to preparing a sumptuous feast for four. The menu for this event will include:

Angel-hair Pasta with Shrimp, Chili Peppers and Tomatoes

Steak Diane with Sautéed Potatoes and Peas

Quick Tiramisu

Of course, to properly prepare for this dinner, you’re going to need a shopping checklist, as well as a modicum of prep time beforehand. (Naturally, Ramsay will be chopping, slicing and dicing at his usual breakneck speed that most people at home — who haven’t spent years as line cooks — can’t hope to match.) So on Dec. 15, grab your shopping bags and hit the market of your choice for the following:

PRODUCE:

1 large red chili pepper
5 large garlic cloves, peeled (one good-sized bulb should give you what you need)
1 large tomato
1 lemon
Small handful of fresh basil
3 scallions
4 oz. crimini mushrooms, cleaned (button mushrooms also will work)
3 shallots, peeled
Small handful of flat-leaf or “Italian” parsley
3 small sprigs of fresh rosemary
1 lb. small waxy potatoes (Yukon Golds, cut in half)
2 cups peas (defrosted, if using frozen)

MEAT/FISH:

1/2 lb. medium-size raw, peeled shrimps
4 small sirloin steaks (approximately 7 oz. each)

DAIRY:

1-3/4 cups heavy cream (14 oz.)
1 cup mascarpone cheese
2-1/2 Tbsp. salted butter

PASTA/BREAD:

7 oz. angel-hair pasta
4 Italian ladyfingers, or Savoiardi

BAKING:
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 vanilla bean or 1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 piece of chocolate (to grate as garnish)

LIQUOR/COFFEE
4 Tbsp. Marsala or sweet dessert wine, such as Vin Santo
1/4 cup brandy or cognac
1/4 cup white wine
1 cup cold, strong coffee

CONDIMENTS
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Olive oil
Extra virgin olive oil
1-2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce, to taste
1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
