Here is a selection of some of what the stars — nominees and observers — had to say, and a few of their pics, about last night’s Emmy Awards presentation via Twitter. All tweets are presented [sic].

Jane Lynch (@jamemarielynch), nominated for Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series as Sue Sylvester in “Glee,” and a first-time Emmy host — “EMMY RED CARPET all poised for the show! Mama is nervous!”

Rainn Wilson (@RainnWilson), star of “The Office”; not nominated — “The world of TV should be ashamed of itself that Steve Carell never won an Emmy for Michael Gary Scott. Goodnight.”

Martha Plimpton (@MarthaPlimpton), nominated for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series as Virginia Chance in “Raising Hope” — “No one, not anyone, ever had more fun at the Emmys than I did tonight. No one ever. Thank you all for sending such wonderful vibes!”

Alec Baldwin (@AlecBaldwin), nominated for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series as Jack Donaghy in “30 Rock” (and also scheduled to partake in the ceremony’s opening until Fox censored a joke he was going to make at their expense. He ended up not attending the event.) —  “Fox did kill my NewsCorp hacking joke. Which sucks bc I think it would have made them look better. A little.” And later: “Who won the Emmys? Did I win? No?!!
