Theresa Caputo, the star of TLC’s series Long Island Medium, says she was 28 when she was first introduced to the possibility that she was a medium. It took another five years for her to actually accept her gift.
“There’s a big difference from when I accepted it to who am I?” Caputo told us. She said she struggled with feeling, “I’m no different than anybody else. Why was I chosen to do this? Why is this my journey?”
The aftermath of 9/11 left her with clarity and a feeling of purpose for what she calls her role in the physical world. Now Caputo spends her days and nights taking her clients on an emotional and spiritual journey with the afterlife. She helps people find closure and/or reconnect some with loved ones who have passed.

Her wait time is over two years at this point, due to the popularity of the show.
Surprisingly, Caputo has built her career on word of mouth only and has done little to no marketing. When asked if she’s ready for what a TV series will bring as far as popularity, Caputo says: “Absolutely not. I still think this is like a school project. It’s so not reality yet for me. My life is overwhelming as it is, as of right now, my waiting list to get an appointment is… I don’t have any availability until January 2013.”

I believe in what you do…if you are receptive to the messages and signs from beyond this world…there is a lot to be heard. I’ve benn reading all these comments. Maybe we should all listen when Theresa says our loved ones watch over us. We should speak to them just like they are here. They can see us, they watch us. They protect us. They see our events and more important we remember them. Hold their item, hold their clothing see their photo. Remember. Smile that they will never leave you. Think that some day you will see them again. I will see my mom. I’m sure of it. She talks to me when I cook. I see her when my daughter smiles. Theresa taught me when I watch her show, what to look for and acknowledge, that yeah she’s still with me. It’s what I would do when I myself pass. I will watch over my daughter and family. She won’t get rid of me that easy. I will survive thru her and my love for her as my mothers love for me. I know she’s here, with me, watching and waiting for me to join her. I hope she can wait a little longer. I have much to do.

Theresa my wife Rosemarie lost her dad in Aug. we all miss him dearly. My wife is taking this real bad and I don’t blame her. We have 2 girls a 5 year old and a 3 year old. Me and my 2 girls would do anything if you could reach out to my wife and just let her know that her dad is okay where he is. I always loved my mother and was happy to spend her last 5 years of her life together. I made a wrong decision to move us to my “future husband” house and location. My mother got sick and died. My relationship didn’t last. I would like to know that my mother forgives me for making her leave her friends to persue my dream that didn’t actually work. That would eliminate my guilt. However, I also would like her to confirm that she couldn’t do anything about my childhood abuse – I forgive her but I need to know that she knows that….. I want to set up an appointment PLEASE. let me start by saying i totally believe in the afterlife and certain mediums.now let me tell u my story.I have been with my husband for 25 yrs,his mother died in 2008.I was very very close to his mom,in fact her and my mother lived with us.my husband&I got into some trouble and had to do jail time leaving my mother and mother in law living together.my husband was on work release and i was still in prison when she died.since then i know she has been contacting me.the room she died in we took over and bought a new tv.since then that tv turns on by its self,no matter what house we live in.recently we were having trouble with my young sister in law who my mother in law adored i was crying and talking to my husband not sure what to do,we had a cell phone that was dead on the headboard behind us go off a couple of times.i should mention that anytime something happens that i think is my mother in law i talk to her.so i talk to her and the phone goes off again i take the battery out and it goes off one more time.I miss her sooo much and need her to know that im sorry i wasnt there,and for her to please keep doing what she does.no one believes me that she visits me but she does.i just miss her and have a hard time with her being gone.i would love to contact u and get a reading.my husband and in laws r from long island so getting there is not a problem.thank you for concidering to give me a reading.
