Theresa Caputo, the star of TLC’s series Long Island Medium, says she was 28 when she was first introduced to the possibility that she was a medium. It took another five years for her to actually accept her gift.
“There’s a big difference from when I accepted it to who am I?” Caputo told us. She said she struggled with feeling, “I’m no different than anybody else. Why was I chosen to do this? Why is this my journey?”
The aftermath of 9/11 left her with clarity and a feeling of purpose for what she calls her role in the physical world. Now Caputo spends her days and nights taking her clients on an emotional and spiritual journey with the afterlife. She helps people find closure and/or reconnect some with loved ones who have passed.

Surprisingly, Caputo has built her career on word of mouth only and has done little to no marketing. When asked if she’s ready for what a TV series will bring as far as popularity, Caputo says: “Absolutely not. I still think this is like a school project. It’s so not reality yet for me. My life is overwhelming as it is, as of right now, my waiting list to get an appointment is… I don’t have any availability until January 2013.”

I would like to know my Dad is ok. He died March of 2011! He said he was scared and I always thought about him saying he was scared of what was going to happen. I want to know he is ok and not afraid. I love him very much and miss him and wish he could see my kids growing up. My boy is alot like my Dad and I wish he could see it. I would love to come see you and I know my Mom and sister would come too!
I’m reaching out to you because my father who passed away June 12th 2005 was my best friend. My parents divorced and when I was 13 my father was granted legal custody of me and we shared a very special bond. My father was sick and I was by his side but when I left for a little while this is when he passed. I live with this regret of leaving every day even though I have watched you and listen to you when you say not to. my grandmother passed away 3 years ago and I lived with her all my life and when she was gonna pass away i felt as I was pulling her back real strong feeling , we are gifted in my family not like you but i see her in dreams I talk to her she looks great I just wanna let her know am sorry if i let her down in anyway , and I still cry almost everyday. tell her i love her n miss her very much. thank you margaret
Im writting u because about 9 years ago my father passed away i was on vacation but spritally i seen him in a gift shop but at the time i didnt know i just thought something at home was wrong,,my father passed on my sons 16th bday,,i took care of him an m mother,,my mother at the time had alzimers,an has sence passed may 3rd 2012,,same day as my father just different year,,but on his death bed my family says he kept calling for me,,i just need to know what he wanted,,please help me put this to rest,,please thank u peggy

First of all love, love, love your show! I understand what you do because even though I am not a medium like yourself I am however an empathy! Many souls here on the physical plane don’t understand that all life exists after death! This is because we fall under the illusion of Maya of this world and forget that we are eternal as soul and come from divine love. Also we forget that there are many higher dimensions of reality beyond the physical plane and that man has within him several inner subtle bodies that correspond to those higher dimensions of being. For even Jesus said heaven is within you seek and you shall find for in my father’s house are many mansion I go to prepare a place for you.
So at death we inward toward the light into the astral plane after dropping the heavy physical body and reside now within our astral form which we already had all along taking with us our memories, experiences, and personalities with us into the inner worlds where life continues on only now on a higher level of being. For heaven is not a distance place far off somewhere but a state of being for it is all around us all the time. Many human souls usually gravitate toward the middle astral plane with its many sub divisions because it very much like our earth plane only on a higher plane of reality where feeling, imagination and thought now play a larger role in creating reality there without the need for food, shelter, clothing, money as we do here. So you my dear help bridge the gap between our dimension and next helping to raise the consciousness of the planet as we make our planetary shift in December of 2012. Hope to meet you one day. However I have a feeling we already have inwardly in spirit.

I do like your program and unlike the fake mediums I went to, you don’t seem to be a fake or a rip-off artist. My dearest husband died in my arms 14 years ago. I wish to be with him now. my mom passed on june 24th of this year,i have some peace knowing that she is not suffer no lomger, and i have read a #of books on the after life, but to really find comfort i would like to know if she is realling having the after life that i have in my mind, i also feel she has reached out to me but dont know what she is trying to tell me. i also lost a grandson after birth, he would have been seven this year love and miss them both thanks for your time.
