Theresa Caputo, the star of TLC’s series Long Island Medium, says she was 28 when she was first introduced to the possibility that she was a medium. It took another five years for her to actually accept her gift.
“There’s a big difference from when I accepted it to who am I?” Caputo told us. She said she struggled with feeling, “I’m no different than anybody else. Why was I chosen to do this? Why is this my journey?”
The aftermath of 9/11 left her with clarity and a feeling of purpose for what she calls her role in the physical world. Now Caputo spends her days and nights taking her clients on an emotional and spiritual journey with the afterlife. She helps people find closure and/or reconnect some with loved ones who have passed.

Her wait time is over two years at this point, due to the popularity of the show.
Surprisingly, Caputo has built her career on word of mouth only and has done little to no marketing. When asked if she’s ready for what a TV series will bring as far as popularity, Caputo says: “Absolutely not. I still think this is like a school project. It’s so not reality yet for me. My life is overwhelming as it is, as of right now, my waiting list to get an appointment is… I don’t have any availability until January 2013.”

Hello Theresa, love what you do, have had quite a few experiences of my own and had people tell me that I’m lucky, I can communicate with the dead, I don’t, they communicate with me, but why can I not have that communication with my mum, or grandparents? I miss my mum so much, her passing was sudden, accidental, why did she take out accident insurance three months before? Did she sense something? Who took her wallet after she died, did I? So many questions and no answers, yet other people come through to me.

I read over these comments I heard a few say that they need a medium or something close to that. This yound man was working in Norh Dakota and went missing in Feb 2012 NOT a thing has been heard from him Not bank account activity or cell phone activity. His mother is desprate tofind answers and reading through comments I think that she has come to the relization that he probably isnt not coming home alive. I dont know why this bothers meso much, there are people that go missing all the time. Maybeits because my family is also working in NDakota and I know that there is weird stuff that happens in those small towns, or the seprate cries from his family that they just want to know where he is and have this nightmare end. I know that this may not be something that you feel that you can help with but maybe he isnt dead but she may have family that will talk to you and help them locate him. Teresa, six years ago I had a close call with death. I was given 36 hours to live unless I had surgery. On my way to the operating room an angel appeared on the gurney and started talking. I hardly could answer the questions the doctors and nurses were asking for him continuously talking. The angel identified himself as Judiel we visited hell then heaven. When we arrived at the gates of heaven Judiel turned me over to Daniel (not sure he is same as in Bible). As we walked another spirit was singing Daniel oh Daniel walking in Jerusalem just like John. Not sure what to take of that. It seemed like we walked forever, all of a sudden Daniel said we must return. They were waking me up after surgery. Daniel said he was leaving me in good hands and all of a sudden three other spirits (angels) appeared two on one side of my bed and one on the other. The one on the left walked with me the first time I got up to walk. She pointed to a wall and said peace and tranquility was on the other side. That was the only time any of the three left the room. I was getting sicker and sicker, on the 9th day I was taking my morning meds when the one on the left started screaming. She said if I took the pill I would die. I took the pill and she went into a hissy fit. She went as far as to make me throw. The charge nurse said I was allergic to something and that throwing up probably saved my life. It was the meds. As soon as they were changed I started getting better immediately and in four days was released. My question, I felt like I knew the three angels (spirits) who were they, did I know them previously? Secondly, my angels were all dressed in white, six months later I saw two other angels around a friend they were blue. What does that mean?

My Dearest Theresa, I’ve had so many losses in my life I often feel like death is following me. All I have left is my son and I feel he will be next. He says he’s so tired of the pain,hate,and cruelty of people in our world he just wants it to stop. He is only 27 and has isolated himself from mostly everyone and has missed out on life for the past 10 1/2 yrs. I’m trying to help him but feel he needs help from the otherside. Obviously, he has had the same great number of close friends and family pass away. He used to be so happy,loving and positive.he promises he will never take his own life but is slowly killing himself smoking,overeating all he wants is to feel numb. Please I am so scared. I pray and pray for help and guidance to no avail. I believe you would be able to help him.
