Theresa Caputo, the star of TLC’s series Long Island Medium, says she was 28 when she was first introduced to the possibility that she was a medium. It took another five years for her to actually accept her gift.
“There’s a big difference from when I accepted it to who am I?” Caputo told us. She said she struggled with feeling, “I’m no different than anybody else. Why was I chosen to do this? Why is this my journey?”
The aftermath of 9/11 left her with clarity and a feeling of purpose for what she calls her role in the physical world. Now Caputo spends her days and nights taking her clients on an emotional and spiritual journey with the afterlife. She helps people find closure and/or reconnect some with loved ones who have passed.

Her wait time is over two years at this point, due to the popularity of the show.
Surprisingly, Caputo has built her career on word of mouth only and has done little to no marketing. When asked if she’s ready for what a TV series will bring as far as popularity, Caputo says: “Absolutely not. I still think this is like a school project. It’s so not reality yet for me. My life is overwhelming as it is, as of right now, my waiting list to get an appointment is… I don’t have any availability until January 2013.”

I suggest that you get certified as a psychic medium. I believe there are organizations in California and North Carolina. You could read for 5 or 10 staff members to prove your abilities. They shouldn’t charge you. The public would have more faith in the afterlife and God. It is important. Perhaps it does not matter to you.

dear ms caputo, ill start by saying i love your show my mother passed away 2yrs ago now it has been very hard for me to deal with her passing for this reason im in therapy i had to decide to help her pass away with out pain so said the doctors but for me its just so hard to accept i cry everyday and pray for her comfort everyday but my heart tells me different. i would love to get clousure and know shes ok please help me. thank you god bless your family and you. also would like to mention my husband father and mother also pass away about 9yrs ago he would also like clousure and know that both are at peace. thank you very much. ramona
Teresa, I am writing on behalf of my partner who is still having difficulty with the death of her father. It is very hard for her even after 13 years this Nov. 9th. I was wondering if there was a way you could help. Pat loves your show and since we can’t afford television at this time, she finds a way to watch her show on Sunday. I appreciate your time.

my husband and i held our son when he took his last breath.he tried to tell us something but we didnt understand.we have a very strong relationship because of him.we owe him so much.His passing gave us a lot of positive outlook.I will need to know his last words.there is times that i feel his soul in my daughter.He was built like his father big hands and neck.who would he be today after 21 years.
Teressa, My Friend Linda lost her husband to a Massive heart attack 4 years ago. My husband and myself were there to witness the awful experience. Since Her husband has passed she has not had any closure to her husbands pain. She feels that her husband is still in pain, and not at peace. She is having a very hard time dealing with this, and refuses to see a consular or anything,all she wants is her husband to give her a sign that he is at peace. please Teressa WE need your help 🙁

Teressa, I love your show so much wish there was a way that I could have a session with you. My husband just got back to work in over a year, and we aree playing catch up here in colorado. He is in Trucking now and will be gone more than he will be home. We are true soulmates and that keeps us going. It’s wonderful watching you help so many that need closure.
