Theresa Caputo, the star of TLC’s series Long Island Medium, says she was 28 when she was first introduced to the possibility that she was a medium. It took another five years for her to actually accept her gift.
“There’s a big difference from when I accepted it to who am I?” Caputo told us. She said she struggled with feeling, “I’m no different than anybody else. Why was I chosen to do this? Why is this my journey?”
The aftermath of 9/11 left her with clarity and a feeling of purpose for what she calls her role in the physical world. Now Caputo spends her days and nights taking her clients on an emotional and spiritual journey with the afterlife. She helps people find closure and/or reconnect some with loved ones who have passed.

Her wait time is over two years at this point, due to the popularity of the show.
Surprisingly, Caputo has built her career on word of mouth only and has done little to no marketing. When asked if she’s ready for what a TV series will bring as far as popularity, Caputo says: “Absolutely not. I still think this is like a school project. It’s so not reality yet for me. My life is overwhelming as it is, as of right now, my waiting list to get an appointment is… I don’t have any availability until January 2013.”

My first husband passed a few years ago, although we were divorced, I was at his bedside holding his hand through out that last night. He kept going in and out, had a morphine drip, and the times he “woke up” he kept trying to tell me something, he was frantic ! I couldn’t understand and kept telling him to just relax, he would smile or blow me a kiss and pass out again. Only after he passed ( that next morning) did we find out what his nasty exwife had done. I wish I could hear his message, he has left our daughters and myself with broken hearts.

my grandmother passed 10 years ago this april the day after her she turned 72 with her identical twin. my grandmother was my best friend and helped raise me. i had such a wonderful relationship with her. losing her was the hardest thing to deal with. i felt like i had an amazing experience with her about a month after her passing. she came to visit me in a dream. it was very much real. she was checking in on me to see how i was soing. after that i knew i would be ok and that she would always be with me. the reason i would love to meet with you is because of my mother. My mother has some substance and alcohol abuse problems for a very long time. my grandmother was always worried for her daughter. my mother has since been clean for the last 4 years and is doing so great! She is an amazing grandmother to my little boy and to her other two grandsons, i know that my grandmother is watching over her and i know that if she could she would tell my mom how proud she is. im hoping for a meeting with you for a chance that this could happen.

One of our students died Sunday from a gun shot wound from walking home late in Springfield, MA. He graduated high school last year. He was a hard working, dedicated, caring, and loving individual who was lived by many teachers. He had a twin brother who looked up to him. Now feeling left alone. It is such a said story and no one understands how this could have happened to him and how someone could have left him on the side walk to die. Many unanswered questions. . It was such an emotiona and sad day for our students and staff members. He was a football player and a wrestler. He worked so hard to have a better life for himself and his brother to get out of Springfield. His adopted mother tried to guide them
In the right direction in life. There are many students, family, teachers, etc who want to here that he is ok and when I writing you this long email years are coming downy check because he was such a great kid with an amazing personality. My ex-husband, and friend, father to my only child died on Aug. 24, 2010. He had been fighting cancer but we didn’t know he was losing. When we got the call to see him he had only 2 more weeks. I miss him and so does Emily, his daughter. We have not buried his ashes and would like to know where we can go to talk to him? I felt Mike right after his death and now not really. I do speak to him, would like to know if he’s able to hear us, and does he know about Emily? Is he able to protect her and guide her from above? Miss him.
