Theresa Caputo, the star of TLC’s series Long Island Medium, says she was 28 when she was first introduced to the possibility that she was a medium. It took another five years for her to actually accept her gift.
“There’s a big difference from when I accepted it to who am I?” Caputo told us. She said she struggled with feeling, “I’m no different than anybody else. Why was I chosen to do this? Why is this my journey?”
The aftermath of 9/11 left her with clarity and a feeling of purpose for what she calls her role in the physical world. Now Caputo spends her days and nights taking her clients on an emotional and spiritual journey with the afterlife. She helps people find closure and/or reconnect some with loved ones who have passed.

Her wait time is over two years at this point, due to the popularity of the show.
Surprisingly, Caputo has built her career on word of mouth only and has done little to no marketing. When asked if she’s ready for what a TV series will bring as far as popularity, Caputo says: “Absolutely not. I still think this is like a school project. It’s so not reality yet for me. My life is overwhelming as it is, as of right now, my waiting list to get an appointment is… I don’t have any availability until January 2013.”

hi, my husbands mother passed away 3 years ago. he has 3 other siblings and have no closer to her death. she passed 3 days before any one new. i would love for them all to have this chapter close and to know shes ok and at peice. sometimes it takes a toll on our marriage. they feel no signs of her and i truly belive in the after world and would love you to give them a reading. thank you.

Hi. My mom passed. My mom away 11 years ago in May. My question is was she with me when I got in my accident in 2006. I am having issues with moving on and not blaming her for leaving me when I didn’t get to say good bye. I feel cheated and I just want to know if she was with me.

my grandma just passed away a year ago of breast cancer she was like my mother to me and to the point now I can let go I still think about her I talk about her every time i do it hurts me a lot i just wish i should I stay with her when i went to go see her at the hospital to me it was like she was like waiting for me or something because as soon as I came back to Fresno California when like a week later she pass….

hello my name is wendy im 25 years old i would like to get in touch with u i have a sister and a brother they were 14 and 15 when they died i was only 9 i was told different stories and would like to c if they will come thru and tell me how they passed ive missed out on growing older with them and it hurts they were so young and wonderful kids my sister was like a mother to me and my brother was my bestfriend. i just want to know if they were murdered or was it really a car accident. i would greatly appreciat it and it would help ease the pain. and i want to know if they r ever by my children and myself if she or he is watching my babies for me. thank u greatly and i am from missouri.
i was told an old friend of the family was n the back seat of the car while they were on their way to desarc and supposably the man shot my brother in the head and my sister freaked out and wrecked. others tell me it was just a car accident the police department would not do an investigation do not know why. but supposably the man went around town bragging how he blew that little *******s brains out. now he cant mouth him anymore. sorry for the *’s but it was improper language to use. but i really need to come to a peacful place when it comes to this.
