Theresa Caputo, the star of TLC’s series Long Island Medium, says she was 28 when she was first introduced to the possibility that she was a medium. It took another five years for her to actually accept her gift.
“There’s a big difference from when I accepted it to who am I?” Caputo told us. She said she struggled with feeling, “I’m no different than anybody else. Why was I chosen to do this? Why is this my journey?”
The aftermath of 9/11 left her with clarity and a feeling of purpose for what she calls her role in the physical world. Now Caputo spends her days and nights taking her clients on an emotional and spiritual journey with the afterlife. She helps people find closure and/or reconnect some with loved ones who have passed.

Her wait time is over two years at this point, due to the popularity of the show.
Surprisingly, Caputo has built her career on word of mouth only and has done little to no marketing. When asked if she’s ready for what a TV series will bring as far as popularity, Caputo says: “Absolutely not. I still think this is like a school project. It’s so not reality yet for me. My life is overwhelming as it is, as of right now, my waiting list to get an appointment is… I don’t have any availability until January 2013.”

on oct 20,2012. my granddaughter’s husband was killed in an auto accident, with 2 of his friends. he was the driver. they were all killed instantly. his and my granddaughter have a son, that turned 1 on nov. 3rd. they were preparing for his birthday. I don’t have to tell you, it was devastating for everyone. he was an exceptional young man. he would have been 21 on dec. 28th. he is Aaron, as far as feeding, spending time, bathing bed time bath. he clings to my dtr. and my grand. works part time goes to school 2 days a week. but when she’s not working, she’s out and gone, my dtr picks the baby up at the nursery and takes him. and she never gets in early enough to put him to bed. he even sleeps with my dtr.we have all tried talking to her, she’s only 20. but my dtr is tired and she still has a 14 year old at home. we love that baby, but we also love jasmine. we just need for her to grow up and take on her responcibility. I would love to know how to go about finding a medium. so mabe mike can tell jasmine what she needs to do. we can’t afford to come to long island. and since you have a wait time, Aaron will be grown before we could see you. we are in Atlanta,georgia. well my grandma passed November 14, 2013 and my family is messed up and we need u to tell them that my grandma is in a better place now and its okay!!!!
I would like to know if my daughter is alive or not she was born in Magnolia Ark in union memorial hosp. on sept 18 1977. I was never given a chance to hold her ,see her have a furnual or any thing else for her and I have always believed she is still alive and given to a nurse after she was born and I was told she was stillborn. If there is anything you can do to help me put this to rest I would truly appriacte your help god bless you and yours
I went to see you in fay nc a few months back I was really disappointed I know that you can not talk to every one but you did not even come down my row you skip use completely not that you might had some thing for us but I was really hoping also you did not go up in the stairs to the top half they pAid \money also my husband had just committed suicide and few months before you can so I was so excided but you did not even come near us

I would like to get a reading for my husband that lost his father several years ago. There is so much sadness and depression in him that I believe that stems from his relationship with his father. His dad battled cancer for 20 years and finally passed away in his early 60’s. I hope that he can somehow hear what ever he needs to from his dad that will clear up what ever guilt he had from his childhood to his father’s sickness. I think this is keeping him from being the father/grandfather that I know is deep in him. Thank you for your consideration.

My younger sister lost her husband almost 2 years ago. She needs a reading. His family blamed her for his death and said she did not deserve anything because she did not love him enough. However, he was the love of her life, and she took care of him all by herself until he died. She was left in financial ruin. Most of his family didn’t speak to her at his funeral. Two months later people were telling her to move on because…after all it’s been 8 weeks since his death. She is still struggling to put things together and make ends meet. She is so stressed and was left in financial ruin. It has been terrible for her. Her other sister and I worry about her because she has become so thin. My husband left our home, went to a local store & never returned. It has been 3 yrs now and the case is cold. Not even the car has been located. He DID NOT leave on his own accord & I believe something horrible has happened to him. I have seen 5 mediums who all said I would have closure but that has no yet happened. My fourteen year old daughter is depressed and suffers from anxiety. She lost someone so important to her 5 years ago and she has bot been the same since. She is depressed sad no confidence and is bullied by other kids on a daily basis because she is so despondent.
